AltaCut was established in April 2005; specifically setup to meet the unique demands of concrete cutting and drilling in Wellington. A family business formed by Aldon Solomon and his partner Tamara.

Aldon, who has been involved in the construction industry since 1997, has had experience in working for an Australian demolition company that specialised in concrete cutting.  After many years with this company he became very proficient in the use of the specialised equipment that he was promoted and became a supervisor of a small team.

In 2002, Aldon and his partner both moved back to New Zealand where he continued in this field of work, concrete cutting.  He has had many supervisory roles and has gained more skills and experience of the years.

Aldon became aware of the potential market and opportunity to utilise his skills and experience this is how AltaCut became reality.
